High Frequency Analysis of Schrödinger equations

The projet HiFrAn belongs to the fields of Analysis of Partial differential equations (PDEs) and of Mathematical Physics. It aims at studying the properties of solutions of equations modelling the dynamics of molecules and at describing approximations of quantities that are relevant for physics with a concern about the development of accurate and reliable algorithms for simulations in theoretical chemistry. The project is dedicated to systems of equations arising in the frame of Born Oppenheimer approximation in quantum mechanics, with a focus on those with sub-elliptic features, especially in a magnetic setting. The project mixes different fields of mathematics - spectral theory, analysis of PDEs, harmonic analysis, numerical analysis - and has an active interface with theoretical chemistry.
