Almost every members of the team have historical mathematical life within the Laboratoire d'Analyse et de Mathématiques Appliquées (LAMA UMR8050) of the University Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée. Nathaël Gozlan has been Assistant Professor (Maître de Conférences) from 2006 to 2016, Dario Cordero-Erausquin from 2001 to 2007, and Cyril Roberto from 2002 to 2011. Djalil Chafaï has been full Professor (Professeur des Universités) from 2009 to 2013. Joseph Lehec has defended his PhD under the supervision of Bernard Maurey, and Pierre Youssef under the supervision of Olivier Guédon.

Research activities

The research's thematics of the team High Dimensional Phenomena strongly interact, in particular between analysts, probabilist, geometers and statisticians. The methods of transport of measures, concentration, semi-groups, functional and geometric inequalities, empirical processes and asymptotic probabilities form a common shared knowledge in our group. We have an important number of joint works. We organize various monthly or weekly events, see below.

The forthcoming events.

2021 : April 5-9. Conference "High Dimensional Phenomena" at the CIRM, Marseille.

2020 : May 20-25. Conference on Random Matrix Theory. at NYU, New York.

2020 : May 11-15. Springschool Convex geometry and random matrices in high dimensions at the IHP, Paris.

The seminars and Groupes de travail.

Groupe de travail CTOP on Convexity and Optimal Transport Theory at the IHP, Paris.

The seminars and the groupes de travail of the LAMA (Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée).
